Learn how to create your own dress block and turn it into different dress styles with confidence.
This one-day workshop is designed for beginners and creatives who want to understand the foundations of dress pattern cutting in a simple, practical way.
During the session, we will draft a basic dress block and explore how this block can be manipulated to create different silhouettes and designs. As a practical example, we will work together on transforming the block into a basic shift dress pattern.
You are welcome to bring your own bodice block in your size to work with, or use one provided by the studio. Studio blocks are available in UK sizes 10–18.

No previous experience is required if using a studio block.
This workshop is all about understanding pattern cutting in a simple, approachable way.

We recommend bringing a notebook and pen to make notes. There’s a lot of useful information, tips and explanations covered during the workshop, so it’s always helpful not to rely on memory alone.
